If I can be so bold as to pass on a piece of advice to you it’s this … perform regular backups! Preferably on a weekly schedule, depending on how much information you’re putting on your hard drive. You can delete the previous one after the current one is complete, although I would recommend keeping 2 and on separate drives. Yeah, last week this was my computer …
That’s not how you want an iMac to look. It’s really hard seeing websites when it’s in that condition. o_O
So yes, my hard drive failed. I think the data is okay … I’ll just have to find a way to replace the motor in the drive and see if it will spin again. So truthfully, that’s why I haven’t posted in 2 weeks. Even after I replaced the drive and reloaded the operating system, I had to reload the software and the files. Problem was (is), my last backup was from last year. A lot of time was spent getting updates for older versions of software and I’ve lost a lot of documents. ?
But the knitting continues!! Because especially in times like this, knitting can be relieving! As can a mojito and the last episode of Game of Thrones! 😉
Now that’s how you want your iMac to look! And yes, the mojito is a little “cloudy” but that’s because I didn’t have any white rum on hand so I used my Appleton’s. 😉
I am pleased to say though that I did get knitting in during that time and am almost finished my next sweater …
Yup, that’s 2 at a time sleeves! Are they long enough Jennifer? 😉
Next on deck is working on the Close Knit Community! If you haven’t joined it yet, what are you waiting for?! There will be a big update with that early next week. You can become a member just by signing up here … Close Knit Community!
Keep knitting everyone!
