Today’s post is coming in just under the wire to make it in for today (Mar 29) for a couple of reasons. The first is that have a miserable cold. I can’t really complain because i haven’t had one in over 18 months, but really, I hate being sick. I am the first to admit I am a terrible patient so it’s a good thing I can take care of myself. Yesterday I made myself some turkey soup with brown rice (instead of noodles) and lots of veggies. It helped a little bit and I ended up sleeping at least 11 hours last night. If you know me and my night owl ways, you’ll know that that’s a good 5 or 6 more than I usually get. So I got off to a slow start today and still hadn’t decided what to knit yet (see yesterday’s post). I did some work on the blog for my Sunday group (knit1take2.com) and did some actual work work as well. Around 8:00 I decided to start the boxers from the KAL that Chris on MWK put together. Here’s a cropped picture of them (trying to stop everybody from drooling on their keyboards). They’re done with sock yarn so it takes a bit of time but I’ve managed to get a good 6″done on the back panel. I think I’m just going to do them in 1 color as I am using a variegated sock yarn anyways (Regia 4-ply). Depending on how they come out I may do some more or have another contest and give these away!
I also just took a few minutes to check in on the MWK site and found out that Kenny has moved his site to here – Kenny’s Blog – and recommend you check it out. His work is classic and simple and it’s reflected on the appearance of his blog. I’m definitely going to be checking it out on a regular basis (I’ve just subscribed to it). Oh, and BTW, if you want to see the full picture that I have above, you’ll find it on Kenny’s Blog (boiknit.com). Tomorrow afternoon I’ll get back to some serious knitting – well, as serious as I get. And by that I mean I’ll pick up another project that I haven’t finished yet so that I’m actively knitting at least two things. Okay, this was short and sweet but that’s all for now!
Hugzzz 😎
