And onward we go …

Hello all, I hope you had a great holiday season. After all the panic around the Mayan calendar, it’s great to learn it was only a flipping on the page of the calendar and not the end of the world! And now it’s a new year and a new start or a great continuation, if your 2012 was a good one. So before I get into the first post of 2013, I need to update a few things.

The first is the 2013 Calendar. Yes, it’s coming out and for those of you who have already ordered one, you should have them by the end of this week. If you don’t, please send me an email message and I will do my utmost to rectify the situation as quickly as possible. As a result of the delay, I will be refunding the shipping and handling for all orders received before Christmas. If you had the coupon code for free shipping and handling, you will be refunded that amount anyways. Thank you very much for your order and your patience. It is my sincerest hope you find the wait worth it.

For everyone else, more are being printed and will be ready to ship at the end of this week. I grossly underestimated how many I would sell this year which is a good thing. There will be a new tab on this site within 24 hours for the calendar so you can order one. Even though the year has started, it is still a great value as you get the patterns for the scarves in the calendar as well as some great tips. There will also be prize draws for everyone ordering a calendar. Even though the hoopla of the holidays is over, they still make a great gift for any knitter you know!

I also want to update you on the ebook. I have had quite a few requests for the cable ebook that I had on sale here. I took it down temporarily but it will be back up shortly with a new name – It Takes Balls To Knit … The Barrington Braid. In it you will find information on the Braid as well as an in depth analysis of cables and how to create them. If you are a beginner, fear not – this will take you through making your first cable all the way to creating your own multi-strand braid of any size you need (or want). If you are an experienced knitter you will still benefit from several tips and techniques that are explained in the book. You will also get the formula for creating braids of any size you desire. Either way I think you’ll find it a great value and well worth the price.

The last thing is that I have been working on this site for some time now and am almost ready to launch a new look. I am planning on unveiling the new site after I return from VKL in New York next week. Please stay tuned for the new look!

Hugzzz 😎
