Bombs Away!

Okay, I know i said my next post was going to be the rest of the review of the Webs ICNs, but things happen. And when the universe hits you in the face with a big ol’ yarn bomb, well, you gotta get the point! So this morning a friend of mine sent me a link on FaceBook (thanks Sandra, aka Fox). Loved it and thought I’d do a post on it as it’s about yarn bombing! Fro there i followed another link and found another cool knitter interested in the yarn bombing movement. And another and I’m sure if […]

The ingenuity continues …

I am lucky enough to have quite a network of friends who realize that knitting is my passion. As such, from time to time, they’ll send me things that I may find interesting in the world of knitting. Were I still doing the Friday Funnies, this would be one of them. A big thank you to Eleni (who isn’t even a knitter) not only for helping me organize my stash, but for sending me this article. Yes, you’re seeing this right. Click on the picture to follow the link. If you’d like to get one, click this picture. I […]

Friday Funnies …

Today I’d like to take the Friday Funnies to another level – but I warn you that society has prepped us to think of this subject as racy, or taboo, or x-rated, or whatever other label you want to put on there.  Personally, I  think awareness is the best thing that we can have. I’m talking about a thing that most men spend the first 40 weeks of their life trying to get out of and most of the rest of their […]

Friday Funnies …

Hey, it’s Friday again – and you know what that means. Time for some haha. This week’s funnies is a relatively short post. I have another cartoon and then a very interesting article from the BBC to show how innovative knitters can be. Here’s the cartoon … As for the article, here’s an innovative way knitters have found to help out with their skills. In the UK, a hospital was faced with the problem of getting model breasts to help teach new mothers about breast feeding and general breast health. Apparently, the models for purchase 35 British Pounds each, […]

100!

Yes, this is my 100th post! I must say I don’t look too bad for 100 – do I? So along the way I have learned a lot (some of which I thought I already knew – lol), and been inspired by quite a few new friends that I have made as a result of this blog. I would like to thank everybody that has contributed to that (and those that will) and continue to make this blogging experience fun. In the beginning I just wanted somewhere to share my ideas and put them down, but in the process […]
