Wow, there’s a lot going on in the title, and that’s because there’s a lot going on here as well. First of all, happy hump day to everybody. Hey Helen, do you know where that term came from (or anyone else)? Wednesdays are a fun day of the week aren’t they? I guess that may be why they call it hump day?! Anyway, I wanted to get some information in here before i get on with the contest, because i know you’ll just want to check out the answers and run. So, you might have noticed that I added a new page to the blog – FEEDBACK. It’s just a page with a few (4) questions that I’d love for you to take a few seconds and answer for me. I’ll change the questions weekly, but aside from the comments, it’s the best way for me to get a feel for who the heck you are. That enables me to put up posts more relevant to what you guys want. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I started this blog to blab about knitting and this isn’t a democracy, but I’d like to know if there’s anything special you’d like to read about or find out about. Keith, the jogless jog is coming up soon, promise. So I’ll look at the answers to the polls and if it happens that I can cover a topic that a lot of you want to read about, or if I’m undecided what to post next and the answers sway me in a particular direction, then it’ll be worth it. I promise to never have more that 5 questions and you’ll be able to answer them easily. Thanks.
Well, there were 350+ visits to the blog yesterday ( a new high) which isn’t a whole bunch to some, but considering that there has been little to no advertisement, I’m thrilled. Keep telling your friends I’m here if you like it. It also meant that there was a lot of competition for the crossword that I put up. Needless to say, I’m already working on another one for a future contest to give away something else from the 52 in 52. It also tells me that it wasn’t that difficult after all – or was it. Please leave a comment and let me know what you thought of it. So I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the winner – Chester Lagmay! Well done Chester. He sent in the completed puzzle at 11:48 AM yesterday (March 23rd). As per the contest rules, I will send Chester the scarf. There’s still a few weeks left that he may be able to use it, and if not, he can keep it for next winter. Now I have gotten a comment about clue #27. The answer is “QUIVIUT” – at least that’s how I spelled it in the puzzle. I may have been incorrect as according to Wikipedia and the store that has a website by the same name, the proper spelling should have been “QIVIUT”. Unfortunately because of where it appeared in the puzzle, this may have caused difficulties for some. So before I post the solution, I will allow anyone that has the puzzle completed to send it in with the “QUIVIUT” spelling. I will send all correct entries with that spelling something special, but Chester will still get the scarf. I’m counting on the honor system here, so please let me know if this error prevented you from completing the puzzle. Chester, please send me an e-mail with your shipping address so I can get the scarf to you right away. I’ll post the solution tomorrow and allow everybody else to try and finish it. E-mail the solution and you will get an honorable mention on here.
Hugzzz 😎
