Getting back to normal?

No way! To coin a line from a very famous film … “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore” … I want to thank everybody for the patience they’ve shown as we go through the growing pains of working out the kinks in the production and distribution of this new show. Unfortunately, my posting has suffered a little as it has been extremely difficult finding the time to deal with the issues that have arisen and still maintain any amount of normalcy in my everyday routine. I’d like to say though, that things are looking a lot better, and I’m getting as close to “normal” as I ever do.

You may have noticed that the site has changed a bit in the last few weeks. The landing page is better (IMHO), and I’ve updated the main page for the Show. If you went there before this and were a little confused or unsure about how to get an episode (or all of them) of the show, I would like to invite you to try again. There is now a video tutorial on the main show page that will show you exactly how to go about this. The pilot episode of the show is also there, as well as the most current episode – in this case The Curse!! Here’s the link to the page  … ITBTK – The Show! Now I’ll be working on the Contests page!

In other news though, and the main reason for this post, I was honored to be the guest of Benjamin Levisay of XRX Publishing, Knitter’s Magazine, and the Stitches events on Monday on his weekly podcast – Fiber Hooligans! To say that Benjamin is a driving force in the industry would be the biggest understatement ever! This man rocks and does so much for this industry, I was absolutely thrilled that he invited me to be a guest on his show. So I’d like to send a shout out to Benjamin, and to Tammy who introduced us, and to all my new Fiber Hooligans friends!! Woot Woot!

If you’re a knitter – which you probably are if you’re reading this – and you want to stay in touch with what’s going on in the industry and get some insight into the minds that help influence and shape it, I urge you to start listening to this podcast! It’s up on Mondays at 9:00 am PST. Don’t worry if you’re just hearing about it though, as the podcasts are archived almost immediately after completion and you can listen to all of them when it’s convenient for you, including the one I did on Monday. Here’s the link to the show (click the picture) …

Not only does Benjamin do the podcast, there is a Facebook page and a Ravelry group for the Fiber Hooligans. Again, if you’re in either of these climates, I urge you to join both these groups. They are moderated by Tammy Burke, and she does a great job of responding to just about everything that’s put up in either space. Here are the appropriate links …

Thanks for creating this group for all our benefits Benjamin – you’re a fabulous host! And lastly, I’d like to mention an update on the 30 day Sweater Challenge. My sweater is coming along nicely, and guess what? I’ll be a guest on the sweater knitting show tomorrow with the gang from 30 Day Sweater! Here’s a link for that if you want to watch it live (10:30 am PST), but they also get archived in case you miss it live …

Sweater Knitting Show

You’ll see an update of my sweater then, but in the meantime, huge props go out to our very own Claudia Graefe who has not only finished 1 beautiful sweater already, she’s started a second!! Way to go Claudia! I find it hard to believe that she only learned to knit just over a year ago!! Claudia has a blog that you can follow here … Knits and More … and here is a picture of her first sweater …

Great job Claudia! I can’t wait to see the second one. If you want to follow Claudia on Instagram, you can find her under the name Claudna. If you’re working on the sweater challenge, or just doing a sweater, send us your updates! We’d love to see them!

Hugzzz 😎
