Yes, it’s here – the pattern for the scarf that Lucy Liu wore in the show Elementary. I’ve also decided to name the pattern Elementary as it fits the construction. I should point out that the version I have here is one of a few different ways that this scarf can be made. As I noted in an earlier post thanks to a comment from a reader, the pattern in the scarf that Lucy is wearing is one of alternating bands of stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch. Since this stitch creates a problematic (to me anyway) unsightly seam when the strips are braided and joined, I decided to use a 2×2 rib and graft the strips together once they have been braided.
I also used a 2×2 rib because I think it provides a little more definition and looks closer to the actual original texture than a 1×1 rib. When viewed from a distance, a 1×1 rib looks a lot like stocking stitch. I think a 3×2 rib would also work, but I’m not going to do this one a third time – I have too many other projects to do.

Well, it’s a kit containing the yarn and the pattern. All you need are the needles (4.5mm suggested) and some time.
