Introducing The Barrington …

As I start into this post I want to thank a few people for making this a reality after 6 years. Yes, it was 6 years ago that I first made what is now called the Barrington Braid. I didn’t realize at the time what I had done as my mind was elsewhere. In fact, it wasn’t until last year when I recreated it and put it up on here that I started to see the potential of this braid. With your support, I then went on to make many more multiple strand braids and now use the Barrington as the signature piece for different designs using these braids. I’d like to thank J and J (you know who you are) for your advice and guidance regarding what I had. Even after this first one was finished and in my hands I still didn’t see it. Because of you 2, I now do.

I’d also like to thank Eric. Having a good looking piece is one thing, but being able to show it to others is essential. I still don’t know how you can take an object of one color, and take a picture of it laying on top of something else the same color and make it stand out. Regardless of my ignorance, this is what he did. Now I not only have a way of showing this to you, I have the foundation of what will become a logo, business card, etc, etc. Luckily for me, not only is Eric a great photographer, he is a great friend. Thanks!

Lastly I’d like to thank all of you, for your suggestions last year when I was trying to find this pattern online, and after failing that, trying to name it. It was you who said to name it myself, and so I did. So here now I’d like to introduce to you the first (and signature piece) of what I hope is going to be many successful designs coming out of Barrington Knits. Here are a few of the pictures that Eric took.

And the best shot …

Hugzzz 😎
