Yes, It’s Friday which usually means funnies but today we’re going to start out by sending a HUGE HUGZZZ and CONGRATULATIONS to one of my regular readers – Catherine – who became an Grandmother today! As of 3:00 am this morning it’s now officially Granny Babacrow! Congrats Catherine and I’m glad to hear that all are doing well. So now there’s someone we can add to the list of people who look at Friday the 13th as a lucky day! Speaking of, does anyone have any horror stories for Friday the 13th? Especially with knitting involved? Hmmmmm …
Okay, for the funnies I have an article from a very good friend sent to me through email. It seems the trend these days is to spin anything and everything – from soy and bamboo to petroleum and camel. Well, not to be left out, man’s best friend is trying to enter the commercial market. I’ve known a few people who have spun dog hair but it seems they’re now trying to push it to the mainstream market. Here’s a promo for a book that is out that was written by Anne Montgomery and Kendall Crolius.
Anne and Kendall aren’t the first ones to write about knitting with dog hair though they do have a great sense of humor in this particular book. Even the promotion from the New York Times is funny. The book is available from Amazon for $11.95 US and $18.95 Can. You can do a quick browse through online or go to your local bookstore to see if it’s in. If you see it and it’s good, bark at me through the comments and I’ll see about retrieving a copy and doing a full review. I guess man’s best friend is good for more than just fetching sticks!
Hugzzz 😎
