A new decade …

[Translate] It’s amazing how time passes, isn’t it? In just over a month and a half we will be ushering in a new decade!! Wow!! While there’s still lots to do in this one, it’s also necessary to start planning the beginning of the next one as well! At camp Hugzzz, things are buzzing! Not only do I have a major project launching on January 1st (you’ll see more about that in the next blog post), I’m already booking teaching gigs for next year. They’ll line up nicely with the content I need to get for the YouTube show […]

2014 …

[Translate] Well, it’s that time again! What the heck happened to 2013? Oh well, time to seize the day, or in this case, year. 2014 will be grand – I can feel it. And while I’m full of this new found optimism that seems to come from the calendar flipping over another day, I’ll do something I don’t usually do. I’m going to make a few resolutions. Now if you’ve been around from the beginning (or if you search waaaaay back on this site), you’ll know/see that I have done this before. Once. Yeah, it was that successful. So […]

[Translate] Yes, this is my 100th post! I must say I don’t look too bad for 100 – do I? So along the way I have learned a lot (some of which I thought I already knew – lol), and been inspired by quite a few new friends that I have made as a result of this blog. I would like to thank everybody that has contributed to that (and those that will) and continue to make this blogging experience fun. In the beginning I just wanted somewhere to share my ideas and put them down, but in the […]

Back to normalcy?

[Translate] Normalcy? What exactly is that anyway? I don’t think there’s anything “normal” about me at all. However, with the first part of the Olympics over, I think that I may be able to find some sort of routine to my days again – maybe. I’m not promising anything as the Paralympics start tomorrow and I have my own gold medal to win by finishing my sweater I started way back when. It’s funny, because I really can knit a sweater in a week, but the design was more difficult than I thought, dyeing the yarn took longer than […]

Stop Needling me …

[Translate] Any knitter with more than one pair of needles will have more than one project on the go at any one time. If they don’t then you should either hire them to finish projects for you might want to have them checked into a clinic to seek some professional help. As for me, well, I’m the classic definition of a knitter. I have at least 5 things on needles almost all the time. One of my favorites times in my day is when I finish one thing and can cast on a new project. Its kind of line […]
