Looking for some help …

Hi there, yes, you’re at the right place. I just decided to change things around a little bit and minimize the site. I hope you like it. So, let me jump right in to today’s post – I need help. I’m working with a friend in Poland to develop some motifs for another upcoming ebook – the first one has been well received and started a snowball that is getting bigger and bigger. The problem I am facing is not being born an octopus. With only 2 hands and 24 hours in a day, I am finding it impossible to keep up with knitting all the motifs, keeping on track with the 52 in 52 (waaaay behind on that right now), and still doing day to day things. Not to mention getting the patterns for the men’s sweater book I am working on done. What I need is some help – and maybe you can.

I am looking for about 5 test knitters. You don’t have to be terribly experienced, just comfortable reading charts, as most of the motifs will be charted first, and then written out in longhand after. How it would work is that I would send you a pattern for a motif that would be in chart form. I would provide instructions as to how many repeats of the pattern to make and any other necessary information. After you knit the sample, I would then ask that you take a picture of it and email it to me. That’s all there is to it. I would prefer the samples be knit with worsted weight yarn on 4.5mm (size 7) needles. I am quite happy to provide you with yarn if you need it for the samples.

What’s in it for you? Well, first of all you will have a copy of the pattern. You won’t be allowed to sell it, but you will be able to use if for any projects you might find it suitable. Also, if you don’t already have a copy of my ebook, I will include that as well. Lastly, I will put together a yarn package from my stash and ship it to you as a thank you for your help. Since you only need to send me pictures of the sample, your global location is unimportant. So, if you’re interested in helping out, please send me an email at mrhugzzz@gmail.com with at least one picture of something you have knit. If this turns out to be the precursor to me taking over the world, I will compensate you accordingly for your time and efforts. Thank you in advance to everybody that responds to this. I will post the results in the future.

Since I brought up the ebook, just a reminder that there is 1 week left in the entry into the contest for free yarn. If you haven’t heard, I am giving away some yarn to one lucky person who purchases the ebook by May 26th. I will randomly draw a name from everybody that has purchased the ebook and that person will get some yarn with a retail value of at leas $30. That would mean that the ebook would actually be free for you if you won. Even if you don’t win, at $8 the ebook is a tremendous value – that’s what everybody who has gotten it has said. You can get it from the Patterns and Products page (just click the tab) on this site. Good luck!

Hugzzz 😎
