What's on your needles …

This post is just an update as to the many projects I am working on right now. I have tried to focus myself this year in completing projects and to that end I am in day 3 of making the Adam’s Rib sweater for myself using three colors. I am liking the way it is coming along although I may have made the neck a little too high.

Good thing I can try it on as I go ... few more inches before sleeve separation

The unfortunate thing about a top-down sweater is you can’t make adjustments to the neck once you’ve reached a certain point. I usually make adjustments to the neck more than any other part of a sweater. Probably because I usually knit them from the bottom up and can make these adjustments easily as it’s the last part of the sweater – usually. Oh well, we’ll see how it turns out. Here’s a picture of it as of Friday evening …

This is not the only thing i am working on right now however. After I finish it (hopefully by Sunday evening) I will make a hood for a friend using sock yarn, begin finishing Ann’s coat, and start working on finishing 3 other sweaters that have a few hours of knitting left in them. This brings me to ponder how many projects you guys have going at one time. I mean, what’s a reasonable number? I probably have 3 or 4 (okay, not probably) more in my Area 51 I could pull out and finish. So at what point do you say enough is enough and you stop starting and start finishing? I would really appreciate your comments on this to try and figure out if there is a “norm” out there. I mean, I don’t suffer from any kind of psychosis because I know as soon as it becomes important I will finish them. I just want to know what everybody else is like …

Hugzzz 😎
