Okay, it’s Saturday and time for the contest announcement. So fist of all, I have to tell you that this contest is in three parts. There is a puzzle which you will get today and then a quiz tomorrow. The third part is the easiest – you have to go to a post about color (any of them will do) and leave a comment. That’s it! Really easy. If you’ve never left a comment on my blog before don’t worry, it’s easy. It will ask you for your email to make sure you’re not a robot just spamming blogs. Don’t worry, the email never shows up and I don’t sell them to anyone (or give them away).
So what are the prizes? Well, here they are:
- First prize is the book Essential Color Techniques by Margaret Radcliffe – I can’t say enough about this book and I’ve done a review on it!
- Second prize is 5 balls of Patons Classic Wool in different colors with 4.5mm Addi Turbo needles to knit it with!
- Third Prize is the Fall/Winter Debbie Bliss knitting magazine – all about color!
Winners will have the choice of prizes if they don’t want the ones they are awarded. In other words, if you wi 1st prize, you can choose the 2nd or 3rd instead. If you win the 2nd prize, you can choose the 3rd instead (or first if it is available). And if you win 3rd prize, well, you’ll get whatever is left.
So, are you ready? Okay, make sure you leave a comment somewhere on one of the posts about color. Here is the puzzle. You know the puzzle Sudoku? Well, here is a knitting one. You have to solve this puzzle using the regular rules of Sudoku but using the following letters – K-N-I-T-&-P-U-R-L. Here’s a refresher on the rules of Sudoku. There are 81 squares (9 3×3 boxes) containing the before mentioned letters. In each 3×3 grid, the letters appear once. In each vertical and horizontal line the letters appear once. You have been given some of the letters to get you started. You have to complete the puzzle. Each day the contest continues I will add 2 letters to the puzzle to help you out. Here is the puzzle below. Clicking on it will open it up by itself and you can print it out if necessary. When you’re finished it, take a picture or scan it and email your result to me at mrhugzzz@gmail.com. You will get a number for when I receive your correct email. You will also get a number for when you post a comment and send in your quiz answers. Winners will be the ones with the lowest totaled numbers!
