This post is just as the title says – a check in on what’s on the needles (mine and yours), and what’s coming up. First things first though, you have until this Sunday to purchase a copy of Angel if you want to have a chance of winning it for free. I still haven’t decided on the exact contest yet, but the winners will have their purchase price of Angel refunded in full. That means you will have gotten the pattern for free. Not a bad deal, huh? So anyone who has gotten a copy of Angel my midnight (my time) on Sunday will be eligible. I might also throw in a copy of the cables ebook – Cables Untangled. The second thing to check in about is the Lace KAL. How is everybody doing with that? I haven’t forgotten you. I would love to get some comments to let me know if you’ve started one, which one, and how it’s coming along. Pictures would be great! There’s 2 more weeks in the KAL and I have 2 shawls left to do. Yup, I’m doing all three. Here is a picture of the first one, unblocked and undyed. I’m going to dye it when I block it (two birds with one stone) and do a post on the process as well. Any suggestions on what color or colors?
That’s Andrea holding it, well part of it. The other 5 feet of it are in her lap. Even though it is a very simple pattern and suitable for a first lace project for anybody, I was very impressed at how nice it is. If you chose this one I am sure you will be equally pleased. Onto the next one for me though …
Then, for what’s coming up. Well, it’s fall (here in the Northern Hemisphere) and fall brings about the color changes in the leaves. That makes color the perfect topic for the next few weeks or so. There will be some great posts (I hope you think that anyway), a contest with a prize that I want for myself, and lots more knitting. Hopefully you’ll be following along and enjoy it as much as I do.
