Finished!

Tomorrow we’re back to color work – lots happening there – but today I wanted to take a quick time out to tell of a finished object. Yup, here’s a sweater I finished and delivered! I’m happy to say it was exactly what she wanted and I was pleasantly surprised as to how much she liked it. She wanted something similar to the Elementary scarf, but I didn’t want to make a whole bunch of strips and then braid them and try to make them look like a sweater! Wrapping it up …

Well, I’m pleased to say that the adventure of the never ending scarf is finally over! You may recall, I had been knitting a scarf with the Merisoft Handpaint yarn (100% wool – and oh so soft!) using three balls and 2 dye lots. With 2 dye lots there ere definitely options! I could use 2 balls to make 1 scarf and then with the odd dye lot, make a neck warmer. With this yarn, this would have worked. Finished!

Well, I won’t get a gold medal in the knitting Olympics because I have been too distracted by the real thing! Vancouver has a set of rings that are normally blue, but go gold when we win a gold medal. We did that twice today and came within inches of getting a third! Stop Needling me …

Any knitter with more than one pair of needles will have more than one project on the go at any one time. If they don’t then you should either hire them to finish projects for you might want to have them checked into a clinic to seek some professional help. As for me, well, I’m the classic definition of a knitter. I have at least 5 things on needles almost all the time.
