Eiko, Kanon, and Wayne ...<\/p><\/div>\n
Well, you may or may not know this but I have never been a big fan of knitting baby clothes. Sorry, I just wasn’t. I’m not saying people shouldn’t, I just preferred to knit adult sized stuff. Well, needless to say, that’s kind of changed now. Yes, I know,I know. so I guess one of my projects for the 52 in 52 will be something for my niece Kanon. I’m not saying its going to be clothes, just something I knit. I’ll keep you posted and maybe do a post on the project as it goes along. I’ll try and get it done in the next 2 weeks – after I decide what it is, that is! here’s a picture of all 3 of them together – Wayne, Kanon, and Eiko. All are doing well …<\/p>\n
Okay, so on with the funnies. Well, I kind of outdid myself last week and should have learned about pacing myself. I mean, there’s not that many jokes about knitting out there, so I’m going to expand the FF to include other relevant material. Remember when I did that post on knitting references on television and in the movies? I even used one of those references as a clue to an answer in my Crossword contest after that too (yes, that’s as big a hint as i can possibly give).Well, ironically I have picked up on four references to knitting while watching TV this week. I’ll try and remember them and put them down sometime in the future. Anyway, a friend of mine directed me to a link of this video clip that shows\u00a0 very well known actor knitting. From what I can see, he is actually knitting as well. The synopsis of the movie is that Joe Adams steals the identity of a dead gangster in order to avoid the draft. His plans are to use a war relief charity to get his gambling operation running, but he runs into a snag when he falls in love and has a change of heart. here’s the scene with the actor knitting. Do you know who it is? Actually, some of you might get a laugh from this clip as well – I did. Not only from the knitting, but the techniques used to put the film together, including the silences in the film.<\/p>\n
