You may have noticed a little (okay, it may not be so little) pop up that come up when you visit various pages on this site. It’s asking for your name and email address for you to join the Close Knit Community. I know what you’re thinking, you already belong to so many groups and you don’t have time for emails about another one.<\/p>\n
Well, I promise you that this isn’t like the other ones. I intentionally didn’t have an email capture system on my website when I created it because I didn’t want you to think I was here to sell you things and I also had to get to know you and you me before I started asking for such things. I’m hoping that 6 years in, we’ve built up a little bit of that to the point where you know I have a good reason for asking for this. If you’re new to this neck of the woods, you can browse older posts to get a jist of what I’m about.<\/p>\n
So, the reason for me wanting you to join the CKC? I’m thrilled beyond words that I’ve managed to continue this site for as long as I have and I’d like to say thank you in my own way. The CKC will be where I can do that. I’ll send out periodic emails (say around 1-4 per month, with 4 being the upper limit) to let you know of special things I’m doing just for you. It will be anything and everything from special discounts on new patterns, free patterns, yarn giveaways, product giveaways (stuff that I get from very generous sponsors ), and behind the scenes stuff that I’m not going to be posting on the site.<\/p>\n
I’m also working on connecting this wonderful world of knitting\/crocheting\/fibre arts like never before. More details will follow about that but suffice it to say that it’s already started and it’s gong to be grand!<\/p>\n
So, to get this rolling along, there will be a giveaway (it’s still a secret for now) for all members of CKC on January 31st at midnight!
