I’ve been looking at the comments from the current VKAL I have going and I’ve noticed 2 things …<\/p>\n

1) The people doing it are having a great time and really enjoying it. They like the yarn, the color choices, and the pattern and are saying this double knitting thing is awesome! They’re surprised at how easy it is and are wondering why they haven’t done it before!<\/p>\n

2) A lot of people NOT doing it are liking the pattern and wishing they could do it too!<\/p>\n

Number 1 is great, and gives me a very warm and fuzzy feeling inside. Number 2, not so much. The reason I started this VKAL was I thought I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I could help people learn a new skill (in this case double knitting) and they would have a finished object at the end of the process. Despite the fact that there are videos to help you along the way, a lot of you have commented that this appears to be too daunting a pattern .<\/p>\n

I would like to assure you that it is not so. I promise you if you can knit and purl,\u00a0 you can make this cowl. I’ve even thought of an idea of how to prove that as well. I’m going to allow 100 people to sign up for this VKAL for free! Okay, it’s not entirely free … here’s how it works …<\/p>\n
