Okay everybody, it’s time to get started! Believe it or not, you can make a sweater in 30 days, even if you’ve never made 1 before. Johnny and the gang at Yarn Nation have put together what is the largest KAL I’ve ever seen to teach you how to do just that. We’ll also be posting updates on our sweater(s) as we go along.<\/p>\n

If you think it’s too late, don’t worry. The first day is about getting measurements for the sweater you’re going to make. Oh, and doing a gauge swatch. You see, you get to completely customize the sweater you’re making, and that includes your choice of yarn. This means there is no specific pattern for you to follow – you create it as you go along. Don’t worry though, you’re not left out in the dark – you’re given all the instruction you need through various workbooks and planning guides. You’ll get links to these when you register. There’s also a daily live show that you get access to upon signup. The show has a chat room so you can ask questions and offer suggestions.<\/p>\n

I’m not letting the cat out of the bag as to exactly what my sweater will look like, but i will tell you (and show you) what yarn I’ve chosen. I have 20 balls of Blackstone Tweed in\u00a0 a speckled brown or dark oatmeal from my stash that has been begging to be knitted for ages now. It’s a blend of wool, mohair, and angora. That’s the winner, and here’s a picture of it.<\/p>\n
