Now there’s a stretch for you, right? I know you’re wondering how am I going to connect bacon scarves to Christopher Walken and knitting. Read on … So after my last post on surviving the zombie apocalypse, I’ve done a little bit of digging on bacon scarves. We all know that knitters are creative, but this is taking it to a whole new level!! I knew there were a few bacon scarves out there, but I didn’t have a clue on how many! Yes, there’s tons! So many in fact that I’m going to simply put a few pictures up with links to the pages they were found on – click the picture to follow the link – and you can have a gander yourself. Some have patterns and some don’t, but all are inspiring in case you want to knit or crochet one for yourself – or if you’re just hungry!<\/p>\n

This first one is from a food blog by Jen Phillips. I’m not sure if she’s still blogging, but there’s enough info there for you to contact her and\/or the original designer of the scarf for a pattern or to have her make one for you!<\/p>\n

Robyn Wade has taken this up a notch by creating a double knit bacon scarf. I have to say it is one of the better ones out there, but only suitable for an intermediate to experienced knitter. Don’t worry though, double knitting will be coming up in the future to get anyone who doesn’t know how to do it up to speed! Great job Robyn!<\/p>\n

Not to leave the crocheters out, here’s one that I found on an Etsy site. The pattern is available for $5 and makes a very realistic looking strip of bacon scarf!<\/p>\n

This list wouldn’t be complete without 2 more … 1 was shown in my last post, but deserves a repeat here, and the second one is a hand painted silk scarf made to look like bacon. While it’s not knit or crocheted, I had to include it because it is so realistic you’d probably try and take a bite out it!<\/p>\n

So now that brings us to Christopher Walken – how does he fit into all this. Well, I have a very funny clip of a young Christopher Walken reading the story of the 3 little pigs! As he points out in the story, there’s BACON involved – and he’s wearing a very interesting sweater!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!<\/p>\n
