With just over a week left before Christmas, there’s still time to order your calendar and have it before Christmas. They make a great Christmas gift, even for non-knitters. Yes, they’re only $20 and if you get yours by the end of today, you’ll be entered into a draw for an iPad2. As well, part of the proceeds will go to Prostate and Breast cancer research. Included with the calendar is the password for a page that will be added to this site this weekend that includes the patterns for 5 of the scarves in the calendar, including the one shown here, worn by Yvanna.<\/p>\n

Shooting Yvanna (and the rest of the calendar) was a fun experience indeed. She was so excited and thrilled at her scarf, it was impossible to keep a smile off her face. It was actually difficult to get the main shot as I didn’t want her smiling too broadly for it. I think we spent the entire shoot laughing and smiling and having a great time. While she wears the one above in November of 2012, she also modeled this one …<\/p>\n

If you already have the calendar, you’ll realize that it looks very similar to the one worn by Miguel in January. That’s because it’s the cowl version of the same scarf. My friend Donna made both of those for me and I’ll get the pattern online shortly. We even made some friends along the way as these ducks wanted to get a glimpse of what was going on.<\/p>\n
