Well, today is officially the start of the 2010 NFL season. If you don’t live in North America you probably don’t care, but for a lot of knitters that do, it means that the next 5 months will bring a certain freedom on Sundays. That is if you’re attached to a male. You see, football season means that Sundays are going to be a time of peace and tranquility for married knitters. At least, it can be. While your guy is glued to the new big screen 1080p HD LCD or plasma screen TV he has, you can either go out and buy all the yarn you want, or visit with friends and knit to your hearts content, knowing there will be no repercussions. In fact, you’ll still be able to have yarn on your wish list at Christmas while he tries to tally up the IOU’s for the new TV.<\/p>\n

You can use this new time and freedom to knit Angel! Yup, the pattern’s finished and will be up later today for you to download. I’m just trying to figure out the best way to deliver it to you as it’s a pretty big file. It’s unfortunate that in this day and age technology seems to be developing everywhere except in finding faster ways to upload and download files. I have managed to reduce it from a 17MB file to 6MB, but at the sacrifice of the quality of the pictures in it. I have one more trick to try and then I’ll be ready to upload.<\/p>\n

If you haven’t gotten my ebook I strongly recommend that you do if you’re planning on making Angel. It will help you understand the pattern a little better and make it easier to knit. As well, if you’re new to cables and\/or charts, it will help you get through them a lot easier. Despite the complexity of Angel, I truly believe that if you take it slowly, you’ll be surprised at how easily it comes off your needles. Like all patterns, I recommend that you read through it first and print out 2 copies of the charts. It is a fully customizable pattern and having an extra copy will allow you to highlight the exact size you need.<\/p>\n

I will be giving away 3 copies of Angel via a refund from purchased copies in two weeks through a contest (I haven’t had one of those in a while).
