I must say I don’t look too bad for 100 – do I? So along the way I have learned a lot (some of which I thought I already knew – lol), and been inspired by quite a few new friends that I have made as a result of this blog. I would like to thank everybody that has contributed to that (and those that will) and continue to make this blogging experience fun. In the beginning I just wanted somewhere to share my ideas and put them down, but in the process I have discovered just how large this blogging community really is – especially among knitters. I knew that knitters were the largest group of crafters on the internet, but I had no idea what that really meant, how many there really were. I still have no idea how many knitters actually blog, or utilize the internet on a regular basis, but I do know that there are a vast number that do. And that amount grows every day. I am constantly amazed by the culmination of information in the form of text, pictures, audio, and video that can be found here. I am also amazed by the warmth and fellowship that knitters in this online community give freely amongst themselves. I for one am truly grateful and will continue to blog until I am unable to type on this keyboard anymore.

So you might be asking what’s in store for the next 100 posts – and beyond? Well, much of the same (from the comments you seem to like it), and some new things as well. I have many areas of interest in the field of knitting (no, not just cables), and haven’t even gotten to half of them yet. Of course, like most knitters, I do have some favorites and will continue to talk about those (yes, cables), but i also love learning new things and the more I blog about knitting the more I find areas I had no idea about and want to explore. So I hope you can be patient with me as I continue to explore those areas. I will try and adjust this site as I go along so it is not just a blog, but more like going to a friend’s living room and chatting about knitting. I have some work to do on the back end of this site in order to accomplish that and it will definitely take more than another 100 posts.

I would also like to thank the designers out there and fellow bloggers that devote their time to improving the craft. I am glad to see that knitting is being looked on more as a skill than a hobby, and that is in large part because of the tireless efforts of all of you. By creating new designs, experimenting with techniques and methods, you are inspiring each other and evolving this skill into something truly wonderful. I could spend my entire day here online just soaking up all the information you put forth. I am thoroughly enjoying being part o this community and the new friendships I am developing – not to mention the development of my knitting skills as well! To help build this community, what I would like to do is create a blog ring of like minded blogs – in this case knitting and crocheting. Now be forewarned, this is a learning process for me as well, so I don’t have a time line on when it will be finished. If you are interested though, and have a knitting blog yourself, please send me the information via email, with the link. Even though I have some of you bookmarked, I don’t know who would be interested, so please send me an email if you would like to be included in the ring. While I appreciate that there are hundreds of blogs out there that you would/could recommend, please don’t send me email for including other blogs. For now I can only deal with the readers of this blog that have a blog themselves. In time this will grow as it should and all the blogs that find us and want to be included will be. Thanks everybody!

Here’s to another 100 posts before summer’s end and maybe 300 by Christmas?!

Hugzzz 😎

Yes, this is my 100th post!
