New Year, New Decade … New You?

[Translate] Welcome to the Roarin’ 20’s! Oops, that was 100 years ago. So what are the 20’s of this era going to be called I wonder? When we look back, what will we say about them? Well, I’m not certain what everyone else is going to say about them, but I know I’m going to say it was the decade I expanded my view and increased my knitting IQ! How would you like to do that with me? How? Sweaters and More! What’s that? Here’s a brief little video explaining that and how I think we can all take […]

WOOLLINN!!

[Translate] #youshouldhavebeenthere If you didn’t make it to Woollinn this year, the above hashtag sums it up in one (okay, technically 5) word! I’m interrupting my regular postings to bring you this quick review of an absolutely stupendous event, especially for a first year! I would have to say the theme of the event this year was #colour!! It was everywhere, vibrant, and saturated. Here is a link to a walk through I did on Facebook. Stitches West 2016 Review …

[Translate] I know a lot of people out there are unable to attend major knitting events for various reasons. For that reason I am going to try and give you an idea of what it’s like by reviewing my favorite one, Stitches West. I could never come close to covering it in a single blog post. Truthfully, I couldn’t do it justice in a dozen! There is just no way short […]

Close Knit Community …

[Translate] It seems the holiday spirit is alive and well at Tim Horton’s here in Canada. The company did all it could to help warm up Fort Frances, Ontario, and knit an entire community together in the process. Tim Horton was a hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs (most notably) for 22 seasons in the NHL. Knowing his career wouldn’t last forever, he opened up a coffee/doughnut shop in Hamilton in 1964. Unfortunately for Tim, he would never see the huge success of his chain, as he died in a car crash in 1974. At the time there […]

Hello Anzula!!

[Translate] The pot of prizes for donors to the crowd funding campaign has gotten bigger – by 10 skeins of yarn! Thanks to the gals at Anzula, there is now an assortment of luxury yarns from Anzula added to the prizes that will be drawn for. All you have to do to get in the draw is support the campaign by making a donation. It’s not purely a donation though, as you’ll get a perk depending on the size of your donation. Anything from being recognized on our Close Knit Community wall to actually being in an episode of […]
