Fall into color …

[Translate] If you live in the Northern Hemisphere and you step outside, you can smell it in the air. Even with the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been having, fall is in the air! If you like knitting, it’s probably the best season of them all. Unlike winter, you can wear and showcase your knitted items without having to bundle them under a heavy coat or boots. Inspiration …

[Translate] A friend of mine, Lee Ann Dalton, shared a message on Facebook yesterday that has inspired me. You’ll see the irony in it once you read it … “The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. Today, I’m doing a blog post of 10 things I’m thankful for in knitting … That many, many, years ago, somebody decided to take 2 sticks and some yarn and develop […]

Spring has sprung …

[Translate] spring has got to be a creative person’s favorite season. The rejuvenation of everything after the winter’s cold is not only refreshing, it’s inspiring. Knitters benefit as the vibrant colors that arise from the budding flowers and trees offer a palate that delights the senses. If you’re looking for color options you need look no further than mother nature’s canvas to get ideas aplenty. Inspiration doesn’t stop at just colors though, as ideas for textures abound as well. I recently took a walk with Jason around Stanley Park and snapped a few pics along the way. Here’s a […]
