Episode 4

ALL ABOUT WOOLLINN

Please forgive me for taking up so much of your time, but I feel (and hopefully you will too) that it was necessary. In June I was lucky enough to be able to travel to Dublin, Ireland and got the chance to participate in Woollinn. If you don’t know about it don’t worry, after you watch the episode you’ll have a pretty good idea what it’s all about! It’s a 3.5 day celebration of the fibre arts and this is a great one to add to your bucket list as well.

Woollinn is put on by Lisa and her team from This is Knit – a fantastic yarn shop in Dublin. I’ll be doing a segment on the shop and getting some insights about Woollinn in an upcoming episode so make sure you stay tuned for that as you won’t want to miss it.

If you include the Knit Night organized by Amy of the Dublin Drunken Knitwits, Woollinn spanned an amazing 3 and a half days. Obviously I can’t show you 72+ hours of fibre fun, but only because I couldn’t be everywhere at once. Even at that, I have waaaaay more footage here than I can show, so some of it will have to pop up in episodes from time to time.

With that being said, this episode of the show is entirely about Woollinn – and it’s still over 2 hours long!! I don’t imagine you’ll get through it in one sitting, so bookmark where you pause and get the rest the next time. Or treat it like a Netflix series and binge watch the whole thing at once. You’ll probably be able to get a small project done while you watch it.

And finally, with regards to what is here and what isn’t – there’s coverage of the KnitNight and a lot of the Marketplace and some interesting information pieces. I don’t have coverage of the classes for obvious reasons, but there is information available online on the classes offered. Marceline (@heybrownberry) did a lot of coverage of the Ravelry Lounge so be sure to check out her podcasts for additional footage!

I am waiting on about 15 more to confirm their participation, so check back in the second week of August!

I’d like to apologize again for the ones that didn’t get into the show this time. Perhaps next year I can do a live stream?? We’ll see. I hope you do enjoy this episode and as always, please subscribe to the channel and share it with your friends through your social media connections if you did. I look forward to bringing you much more content in the future! Episode 5 is already cued up and ready to go!

Huge hugzzz 😎
