Hello, I am so thrilled to find a male knitter who takes such pride in his work! My grandfather taught my mother to knitt. I work with a local textile peservation society in my little cornor of the world and last year during our childrens summer programms we were successful in getting several boys into weaving and beading. I hope to be able to add an all boy class for knitting this year, any suggestions on how to get them interested? Jennifer (scarf and beanie knitter advancing to socks)

Hi Emmana, thanks so much for stopping by. It was nice to meet you and even nicer that you took the time to say hello. I will definitely keep you posted about the story of the scarf as it evolves. Hugzzz 😎

Hello Steve, We met at Waves yesterday morn whilst you were awaiting the Knitting Circle. We spoke of the emerging story of your beautiful scarf creation and more. So here I am. Bye for now, Emmana

Great to meet you on the subway in Chicago Saturday morning. Nice to see a guy knitting. I told you my uncle taught me. Hope you had a great visit in Chicago. Cheers... Looking forward to buying a calendar or two! Christine

Thank you so much for giving me a quick live tutorial of your style of knitting in Chicago! You're a generous talent.

Helen, thanks for the comment and compliments! I also machine knit. My favorite is my entirely manual Passap Vario and I also have the Duomatic and a LK-150 with the 50 needle extension. I find some hand knitting patterns are excellent to do on the machine. Unlike most machine knitters though I only knit the pieces on the machine. I find finishing by hand gives a much better end result - both aesthetically and in durability. Hugzzz 😎

Came across your website by sheer accident. Your skill as a knitter is excellent. You exhibit real skill!! I am a machine knitter with my Brother 260E Bulky and Studio 560 Standard and Silver Reed KX150 mid-guage. . I have just started learning the craft of weaving. It will be interesting to translate a hand knit pattern to a machine knit pattern.
