A Christmas like no other …

Twas the night before Christmas And the needles were clicking Even over the chatter you could hear The tick, tick, tick, ticking As it seemed that Santa’s elves Had forgotten a huge list And some good boys and girls Were going to be missed Now the knitters and crocheters Couldn’t stand idly by As no one wanted to see anyone With a tear in their eye With patterns from Franklin, Melissa, Jenny, Mr Hugzzz and more The crafters had purchased fiber From their local yarn store So now in the house When you looked all around Knitted and crocheted […]

Tis the Season …

Well, with less than a week until Christmas Day, I’m sure all you knitters are busy finishing up last minute gifts for everybody on your lists. The thing is, what do you give to people who are knitters that are on your list? Well, for me, this is a great opportunity to give a knitter something that they need but may not even think about getting for themselves. This would be something like books, magazines, and/or tools. All of the above make great gifts for knitters. Here’s a few thoughts about each of those you may like. Books: Noro […]

In conversation with Mr Hugzzz …

About a month ago I put up a video with the same title as this blog post where I discussed a few things with you in a candid conversational type setting. If you haven’t yet seen it, I’d like to invite you to have a look. It’s one of the 3 free videos on the site, so it won’t cost you anything, but it may give you some insight into what I’m doing and why. Here’s the link … HUGZZZ. This is a sort of similar thing, but in the form of a blog post. Its came about because […]

Recently ITBTK went to Washington State to visit one of my favorite LYS owners, Andrea, in her store, Apple Yarns. If you’ve never been, you really have to go. They have just been named an official tourist destination and currently have signage on the street to point the way, and will soon have signs on the highway  to make sure you know where you are. […]

Yarn Forward …

In knitting a YF or yarn forward is a way of increasing the number of stitches you have on your needles. Here on this blog, it’s a way of moving forward, or continuing on. This time in particular, it’s pertaining to the knitting show that I started 2 months ago. I’m very pleased to say that we have successfully switched platforms, and while there wasn’t a huge hooplah surrounding it, the people who have tried it out like it much better than the previous one. The show is the same, but we are evolving there as well. As we […]
