Those Calendar Men!

[Translate] The boys are back in town! Well, the calendar boys that is! Actually, the calendar MEN! That’s right, it’s time for the 2015 It Takes Balls To Knit Scarf Calendar. Once again this year we have a 13 month calendar featuring  13 scarves, 13 patterns, 13 men, and not much else. Yesterday, with the help of Amy Rampfl we completed that little journey during a photo shoot of the new design. In the beginning it started out as just a cowl version of the scarf. However, because of the yarn that I used this time around, it turned out to be much more. Stay with me for a second here … You may have heard me rant in the past that manufacturers need to increase the size […]

Planning for the finish ..

[Translate] The secret to any successful project implementation is good planning. Knitting a sweater (or any other garment) is very much the same. Unfortunately, it took me years of knitting before I realized this, and as a result, my first few sweaters could have been made a lot better. I’m not lamenting the past, just reflecting on the fact that had I had someone telling me certain things, well, I would definitely have more sweaters that I would be proud of wearing. So it is with this thought in mind that I write this post, and hopefully some of […]
