All we need is hugzzz … and CABLES!!

[Translate] Well, it’s been an exciting, interesting, informative, reflective, saddening, and emotional (yes, there are more I could add) few months in the online knitting community, hasn’t it?! If you’re unaware of what I’m talking about, head over to Instagram or Ravelry, and scroll through your feed. I’m sure in no time at all you’ll come across the “conversation” that has been going on. If you’re not following me on Instagram, you can do so, and you’ll see mention of it in my feed. I’m going to bypass a summary for the time being, but I will be visiting […]

Happy Birthday VKL!!

[Translate] Last week I was lucky enough to be in New York for the 5th Anniversary of Vogue Knitting Live. There were a lot of reasons why it was great to be there … It was the 5th Anniversary of the event and had a lot of fantastic displays and special events I got to reconnect with some friends I hadn’t seen in a while … you know who you are I met a lot of people and made some new friends who are already dear to me … Yarn, Yarn, Yarn I connected with some people who I […]

Addi SOS …

[Translate] You might remember a series of posts I did a while back on interchangeable circular needles. I pointed out the pros and cons of some of the most popular circular needles on the market. VKL report …

[Translate] Well, another Vogue Knitting Live has been had, and it’s great to see that even though it was a new venue, this event keeps getting better and better. This last VKL was in Bellevue, WA – just minutes from Seattle –  at the Meydenbauer Center. The venue was great, and the event was even better. As usual, there were lots of instructors teaching everything from casting on and learning to knit, to advanced design techniques that you could incorporate into your next project. The Marketplace was great with a lot of exhibitors – some of the usual suspects […]

Travel time …

[Translate] It’s actually amazing how much is going on in the world of knitting. Thankfully, we have the internet these days, so it’s easier to keep abreast of all the events that occur during the year. There are quite a few events that happen on the international stage that you’d have very little information about unless you knew about it directly. Now we have Google and finding those events is a lot easier. If you’re planning on taking a vacation this year or are traveling out of your neck of the woods, I recommend doing a quick search beforehand […]
