Tuesday’s Tips …

Here’s another week of tips for all you knitters out there. I’m still looking for any tips you might have! Feel free to either email them to me (mrhugzzz@gmail.com) or leave them as a comment on any of the posts (Tuesday’s Tips would be the easiest I think). Here we go for this week … Purl instead – A lot of people prefer making the knit stitch over the purl stitch. I agree it may be a little easier, but the purl stitch get a bad rap I think. Tuesday’s Tips …

Welcome to another edition of Tuesday’s Tips. This weeks tips are all about yarn and yarn substitution in your patterns. Here we go … Go by Yardage – Or mostly in these days, meters. Knowledge is getting better and better everyday, so a lot of people now know that weight is not the way to decide how much yarn you need. 50 grams of wool is not the same as 50g of cotton, or mohair, or silk. And keeping with Thanksgiving, I have gotten each tip from someone else and am now giving acknowledgment and thanks to them and for their tip (even if they didn’t know ). Twist and Tie – I consider the […]

Tuesday’s Tips …

This week’s tips is all about color. I hope you’re not surprised as we’re exploring color right now and will be for the next coupe of weeks (lots to explore). So in a few posts now I’ve mentioned using nature to pick your color palette for you. Well, you might ask exactly where … here are some suggestions for you. Blues – the sky during the day and leading up to about an hour before sunset. Then, after sunset, for the deeper shades of blue. Also the ocean, as long as it’s not shallow water. Shallower water tends to […]
