Hmmmmm….

I’ve been looking at the comments from the current VKAL I have going and I’ve noticed 2 things … 1) The people doing it are having a great time and really enjoying it. They like the yarn, the color choices, and the pattern and are saying this double knitting thing is awesome! They’re surprised at how easy it is and are wondering why they haven’t done it before! 2) A lot of people NOT doing it are liking the pattern and wishing they could do it too! Number 1 is great, and gives me a very warm and fuzzy […]

Yarn Forward …

In knitting a YF or yarn forward is a way of increasing the number of stitches you have on your needles. Here on this blog, it’s a way of moving forward, or continuing on. This time in particular, it’s pertaining to the knitting show that I started 2 months ago. I’m very pleased to say that we have successfully switched platforms, and while there wasn’t a huge hooplah surrounding it, the people who have tried it out like it much better than the previous one. The show is the same, but we are evolving there as well. As we […]

We’ve launched …

I can’t believe the overwhelming response I’ve been getting since launching the pilot episode of our new knitting show late Sunday evening. What?? You didn’t hear? You haven’t seen it? In the video, there is mention of a contest where you can win 1 of 3 prizes. In order to be eligible, you have to pre-order […]

Counting down …

I want to thank each and every one of you that have read this blog over the 31/2 years that I have been writing it. It has been an incredible journey and I have learned a lot – and that’s an understatement! I also want to apologize for the inconsistency I’ve shown in posting in the last 6 months, I am truly sorry. There is, however, a reason. Whether it’s a good one or not remains to be seen. When I first started this blog it was to allow it to evolve naturally, to go with the flow of […]

It Takes Balls To Knit … Scarves

As far as I know there isn’t any little saying or anything to announce the arrival of fall. It officially arrived here last week, but there was no fanfare, or special message sent out to say that it had. Where I live the leaves won’t change color that much and it is still a few weeks away anyway. What I have noticed however, is that the amount of scarves people are wearing has increased dramatically. Hmmm … scarves. I love scarves! As a matter of fact, when I’m designing a sweater, I’ll usually make a scarf with the stitch […]
