Elementary revisited …

[Translate] Well, there’s good news and bad news. The good news is that Tammy, a reader of this blog, recognized the correct stitch pattern on the scarf worn by Lucy in the episode of Elementary from last Sunday. She recognized it as an alternating stocking stitch, reverse stocking stitch pattern, the way it appears when done in the round. As a matter of fact, the thought struck her when she saw the Waves scarf I made and put up the pattern for here on this blog! Stylin’ Lucy!

[Translate] It’s no secret that I use knitting as an excuse to watch television – it’s the only justification I can come up with to spend countless hours watching a screen of quite often very poorly thought out entertainment. For that reason I am very particular about what I watch on television. One of those shows that I watch is Elementary – the American version of the incredibly brilliant UK Sherlock! [Translate] Well, if you’re a member of MWK or if you’ve been following my posts for the past week, you know that I’ve been working on a special braided cable that I made a few years ago. As you probably already know (if you’re been reading), my favorite thing in knitting is cables. I love all kinds of cables, from the ordinary 2 strand straight cables, to the traveling multi-strand braids. Actually, especially the traveling, multi-strand braids. My two favorite designers are Elsebeth Lavold and Alice Starmore because of their work with cables (although Alice has phenomenal fair aisle […]
