‘Twas the Night Before Christmas …

Yes, this is a re-post, but I’m sure some of you didn’t see it the first time!

‘Twas the night before Christmas
And the needles were clicking
Even over the chatter you could hear
The tick, tick, tick, ticking

As it seemed that Santa’s elves
Had forgotten a huge list
And some good boys and girls
Were going to be missed

Now the knitters and crocheters
Couldn’t stand idly by
As no one wanted to see anyone
With a tear in their eye

With patterns from Franklin,
Melissa, Jenny,  Hugzzz and many more
The crafters  purchased fiber
From their local yarn store

So now in the house
When you looked all around
Knitted and crocheted goods
Could easily be found

A jumper for Johnny,
And a matching scarf too,
Suzie’s hat was just beautiful
To match her eyes of blue

It seemed that the night
Would be saved after all
Thanks to all the great hands
That had answered the call

An urgent message was sent
As the last stitch was done
For Santa and his reindeer
To come on the run

When the last gift was given
And he had time to sit
Santa gave a chuckle and said
“Yes it does … It Takes Balls To Knit”!
