Happy Birthday VKL!!

Last week I was lucky enough to be in New York for the 5th Anniversary of Vogue Knitting Live. There were a lot of reasons why it was great to be there …

  • It was the 5th Anniversary of the event and had a lot of fantastic displays and special events
  • I got to reconnect with some friends I hadn’t seen in a while … you know who you are
  • I met a lot of people and made some new friends who are already dear to me …
  • Yarn, Yarn, Yarn
  • I connected with some people who I have only known virtually, and got some real HUGZZZ …
  • The Marketplace
  • 2 words … Arne and Carlos!
  • The cocktail reception!
  • Did I say yarn? 😉
  • I have a lot of family in New York and I got to visit them as well!!
  • BBQ’s! Thanks Z! 🙂
  • So many more things!!!

It would be impossible to tell you all the great experiences I had in the 3 days I was at the event. While I understand that not everyone is able to attend an event such as this, I urge everyone that is to make it a bucket list event and cross it off soon! What is really good to see is that events of this caliber are moving around in the United States which will give people who aren’t able to travel to them the opportunity to get to them. It’s also good to see that there are new events like this springing up as well.

I will do some posts in the very near future on some of the booths I particularly liked or thought deserve a bit of a spotlight to help them get a little more exposure. Don’t get me wrong, this is by no means saying that any booth was better than another, simply that you might not ever know about some people if you didn’t make it to the show and/or not located in the immediate geography of their businesses.

With that being said, I’ll recap some of the highlights via a picture gallery. More posts will follow …

As I said, just a small sampling of the weekend. If you notice yourself in any of the pictures and would like the full sized version, please send me an email and I’ll get it to you!

Hugzzz 😎
