Ready, Set, … KNIT!

If you’ve been following this blog for any length of time, you’ll know that I don’t talk politics – usually! Well, unfortunately something has been brought up that I feel I need to address, and also urge you as a knitter to speak out about as well. This is a summer Olympics year, and as such, Ravelry is holding their third knitting Olympics. This one is bigger and has quite a few more events than the first one a while back. Color and Texture …

For most of us, there is usually a choice between color and texture when creating a piece. I was with Shoshana from Wool Is Not Enough the other day when I saw something that allows for both. Sho is working on a blanket for a friend’s wedding. The blanket consists of a collection of 12″ squares that are sewn together to form the blanket.
